Having your kids help you in the garden is a great way to teach them responsibility. You can let them be in charge of a whole section of the garden, where their responsibilty is watering and taking care of those plants. It also makes them feel ownership and take pride in what they're doing. They get to experience the joy of watching the plants/veggies grow and it'll get them outside for some fresh air! If you have boys, they're always up for adventure. You can show them that they can have fun gardening too. Make it a fun game.. for example: "your mission is to pull out as many weeds as you can in 1 hour, if you succeed you will move on to mission #2."
